The purpose of the Scholarship Committee is to solicit applications and identify/award scholarships. Identify and create events/opportunities to provide funding to the IRSA Scholarship Fund

Primary responsibilities are as follows:
- Review the current scholarship information and application forms, making recommendations for revisions as necessary
- Distribute applications to institutional and state members
- Work with the IRSA Vice President to market and publicize the program
- Coordinate the review and selection process
- Work with the IRSA Vice President to provide recognition for the scholarship recipients
- Collaborate with committee members to identify and announce winners prior to the workshop
- Work with the IRSA Treasurer to determine the award amounts and ensure reimbursement to the recipients.
The Scholarship Chair should:
- Be a professional member of NIRSA and IRSA in good standing
- Be available to attend the IRSA State Workshop or delegate accordingly to ensure no lapse of responsibilities
- Have previous experience in coordinating and managing budgets•Demonstrate exceptional organizational and leadership skills
